Wij doen hierbij een #AppelAanTerApel, een oproep aan eenieder in deze samenleving om niet de ogen te sluiten en élke vluchteling als medemens te zien en de open armen niet alleen te beperken tot Westerse vluchtelingen. Het is tijd voor Nederland en Europa om te handelen vanuit compassie en rechtvaardigheid.

In de laatste paar weken is de situatie bij het aanmeldcentrum in Ter Apel geëscaleerd.
Honderden mensen slapen buiten zonder enige schutting of veiligheid.
De situatie is dusdanig erg dat hulporganisatie Artsen Zonder Grenzen voor het eerst noodhulp moet verlenen in Nederland.
Onhygiënische leefomstandigheden leiden zelfs tot gevaarlijke gezondheidssituaties.
Polarisatie en haat nemen de overhand nemen in de Europese samenleving, maar compassie is nodig.
